"Time wasted in Audiology"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital

Anything else?

I have recently visited the audiology department to investigate tinnitus. This involved three visits all of which couyld, and should have been combined into a single visit.

Two of the three visits involved significant >45 minutes wait for appointments.

I feel there to be a total lack of consideration for the effort and time that making three visits involves. It seems like arrogance to me that the depeartment does not, or cannot, organise itself around the patients needs better.

We are disappointed to hear you experienced long waits for your appointments. Our clinics usually run smoothly and on time in Audiology but this does not seem to have been the case on these occasions. We are very sorry for this, unfortunately some clinics do run late but we would like the chance to discuss your experience with you to see how we can improve our service. If you would like to discuss these issues further please contact Lorna Laird, Principal Audiologist/ Acting Manager on 01905 760171.
