About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital

Anything else?

I am generally a very fit 63 year old woman but last winter I started to feel unwell and after visiting my GP was referred to the QEQM for some tests. This review is to congratulate the QEQM on its standard of professionalism, its care and kindness shown to me by every member of staff that I came into contact with. Receptionists that are polite, nurses who are gentle and caring, radiographers who explain things and understand peoples concerns, phlebotomists who dont laugh when you say you dont like the sight of blood, consultants who talk to you rather than at you, and not forgetting the cleaners and porters who make getting from one area to another possible and clean. Over the last few months I have visited the hospital on a number of occasions and even on one occasion was brought into the hospital by emergency ambulance - and gosh were the paramedics wonderful - I was so upset and frightened but they were so kind and considerate. I have nothing but praise for everybody. I would like it if you could pass on my sincere thanks to all those people who have upheld the highest principles of the NHS in caring for a middle aged woman so wonderfully. Keep up the fantastic work. And a big big thank you.

I will make sure that your feedback is cascaded to staff. They are working flat out at the moment and will really appreciate your words.

I do hope you are recovering well.
