Anything else?

After many months of outpatient appointments at various local hospitals I was very struck by Hammersmith Hospital, which has got the general visiting experience just right. The antiquated building is spotless, bright and cheery, the murals really make it a pleasure to walk through the long underground tunnel.

It is possible to get a cup of tea at a reasonable price (unlike some other local hospitals) The canteen was the best hospital canteen I have visited in a long time, all the better for not having been franchised out to a high street chain.

The staff were exceptionally helpful, and the specialist who saw me was wonderful.

All these small things add up to a much superior experience from that which I have had in recent months at other North West London hospitals.
