"My journey of care"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I was at home and experienced a full panic attack. Unsure what was going on I dialled 999 and the ambulance crew were very reassuring and calming. However as my blood pressure was elevated I was taken to A&E at Hairmyres Hospital. The staff could not have been more professional, caring and efficient, they reassured me, checked bloods, ECG, pulse and blood pressure.

Dear Healthy

thank you for sharing your care experience from the Scottish Ambulance Service when you suffered a panic attack. That must have been very distressing for you.

I hope you are feeling much better.
