"EU Certificate for Health Care not accepted.Assist..."

I am a Spanish citizen with and an official provisional Certificate for Heath assistance in Europe (incuding UK) issued to me by Spanish authorities in order to cover me while in a visit to London.

I felt very sick and decided to go to the nearest Hospital, which unfortunately was the Finchley Memorial Hospital. Nurses refused to accept the document and didn't even try to check its validity, as they said they had never seen one before, and therefore denied assistance. "Only if you were dying" one nurse said to me.

They didn't make a call or fax to the Overseas Health Care as was their due.There is a phone numer and fax they should have contact to check that I did indeed had right to treatment.

Now the offence is being handled by Spanish Consulate in London.
