"Don't forget the theatre staff"

About: Cannock Chase Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I had surgery at Cannock Chase Hospital.

I had one operation in February followed by futher surgery in March. I received excellent care. The staff on Lea Hall ward went way beyond their duty of care.

I was petrified, the nurse of the ward even came into the anaesthetic room with me and that was priceless.

Can I just say though, everyone having surgery don't forget the theatre staff? They are often forgotten and your life is literally in their hands. These staff are fantastic and caring for you at a vunerable scary time. I gave the theatre staff a box of biscuits and they were so surprised as they always forgot.

I highly recommend this ward and all staff. The consultant Ms Marhoof is unique.
