"Paediatric A&E followed by hospital admission"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

Anything else?

My baby son received excellent care in the Paediatric A&E department.

However when we were transferred to Ward F65, the room was dirty and it was evident 'some' nursing staff lacked morale which was not inspiring. The toilet and shower room was filthy and blocked. When this was reported, i was looked at and spoken to rudely.

I was shocked at the food offerings for a one year old (chicken nuggets and chips for a baby in a hospital?) One auxillary nurse was constantly chewing gum and prior to serving food i saw her take it out of her mouth and note that she did not wash her hands!
