"Didn't receive confirmation for my orthopaedic appointment "

About: Tamar Referral & Appointments Centre

(as the patient),

The only problem with this referral is that I never received a letter of confirmation so I actually phoned the orthopaedic outpatients dept to make sure they were expecting me. They had no idea who I would be seeing so I was quite nervous when I saw the consultant however he was very kind.

Dear ‘Nile867’,

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments about the TRAC team, I am sorry you did not receive the information you needed regarding your appointment. The TRAC team are able to confirm your appointment over the phone including any details you would need be aware of beforehand and send your details to your chosen hospital. The hospital ordinarily would send you a confirmation letter to outline any information you would need to know about your appointment and the clinician overseeing your care. It seems as if you did not receive this information, if you are happy to share which hospital you attended I would be able to feedback to the department and they may wish to add some further comments here.

If you are willing to do so please can you contact me with further details of your referral? My direct phone number is 01626 883712, I work from Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm. Alternatively you can also email me at cab.helpdesk@nhs.net.

Kind regards

Gemma Tremlett
