I required a second hernia operation - the other was also in Louth - and I have to take the time to say that both times have been very positive experiences.

The lead time from seeing my GP to seeing the consultant and then to surgery was very quick indeed - a matter of only a few weeks.

All staff that I was involved with were courteous and caring and very professional.

The theatre team, headed by the consultant, were informative, kind and efficient. They did a great job and I was on my feet walking round the village with my dog within days.

If Louth is a typical example of NHS local care then we not fear the future - this hospital and its staff function wonderfully well and are a credit to their profession.
