"Gall bladder removal at QMC"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / General surgery

(as the patient),

Prior to my gall bladder removal operation at the Queen's Medical Centre, the anaesthetists and other staff were caring and helpful. After the operation, I felt scared and helpless as the pain was taking my breath away. I was dosed up with morphine that made me sick.

A male nurse was annoying, by singing and whistling when I felt awful, and he didn't listen when I asked him to stop. Also, he took offence when I didn't want him there when I needed to use the commode, and a female nurse had to tell him to leave.
