my son has cerebral palsy the chair given him is to big.i have tried and so has my ot to get this seen too but they seem not to want to know. they seem to have a policy of one size chair fits all. the chair has had several faults the handles come off, the footplates come off, the main bolt for the base came out and the latest thing is that one of the wheels came off.my main concern is that the inadequate seating is causing postural problems. the chair base is too big to use safely in a junior school. why do children with disabilities have too suffer from the penny pinching/saving in the NHS? I have heard of at least 4 other children waiting to be seen about their chairs that are wrong. does the service at melksham need looking at?
