After taking an elderly aunt to A&E after a fall at home I spent the next 5 hours waiting to be seen, observation were not taken for 5 hours at which point was told glucose was low, which was hardly surprising as never once were we offered a drink or refreshments. Due to the unknown nature of the fall and the possibility that it may have been a small TIA and that my aunt suffers from Dementia it would have been better service to have at least been spoken to earlier and offered or informed where I could have got her a drink which would have caused less stress in the long run
