Receptionist looked at me like I was something she'd scraped off her shoe. Greeted me with "what do you want?" No smile, no "good morning" or even a basic "hello". I had been wrongly sent to A&E from another department, wrongly according to the receptionist anyway. The seating area was disgusting, the seating is shabby and dirty and the payphone was broken (coins jammed in it).

We sincerely apologies for the greeting you received by our Receptionist. This is not of the standard we would expect from our staff. if you wish to have the specific member of staff spoken to about their attitude then please contact our PALS office on 01895 279973.

We have a rigorous monitoring process for the cleanliness of the department and therefore I am somewhat surprised by these comments, but will raise it with our domestic services.
