Anything else?
I first saw my GP 2006/2007 with bad abdomen pains, she made me an appointment at the hospital, could not find anything, this went on for around four years and around September of 2010 I was told by a registrar that they did not want to do any more invasive procedures, all I had in that amount of time was a camera up and down the only invasive procedures that I had had.
he then went on to produce a photo of my insides and pointed to a spot and said ah look a baby. I returned to my GP around 6 months latter with same problems so she got involved personally and when she did I was eventually offered a scan, they then found my problem, yes it was a cancer called a carcinoid in my small bowel, I was told that it was just a small tumour and that they would remove it, however I then had to undergo a further six months of tests and three more CT scans and two nuclear scans, I was taken in at the end of January 2012 for surgery, they did a laparoscopic procedure but I had to sign a form so that if needed they could revert to an open surgery and fit me up on a bag. came round from that to find that nothing had been done, then they booked me in for the main surgery for march however they had to take me in e week after I had come out due to all the pain I was in. I eventually found out in the July of 2012 that they had removed around six foot of my small bowel/ my ascending colon and appendix. the ward I was on was diabolical as were a few of the nurses, the food was utterly awful as well as cold. if it was not for my Lovely GP getting involved then I recon I would still be trying to get a diagnosis. I was also left in pain without medication for it
if I ever have to go into that hospital again, I would hope that my GP would give me a choice of hospitals
"diagnosis and treatment"
