"Keyhole Hysterectomy"

About: Leicester General Hospital

Anything else?

I first attended Leic Womens Hosp with diagnosed ovarian cyst. I saw a lovely lady doc who arranged an MRI and Hysteroscopy, these were all completed within 3 weeks and I actually had a cyst on each ovary and polyp in my womb. As they were not sinister I was given the choice on hysterectomy or further scan checks. Each time I was seen by a lovely lady doctor. As i am overf 60, I opted for the operation. 12 weeks later it was done, all went well and I came out after 3 days. All the staff at both the pre-op ward 11, anaesthetics and ward 31 after the operation were absolutely marvellous. I was treated with dignity and respect and nothing was to much trouble. I cannot fault the staff at all. The food was not appetising but it was only for 3 days. I would recommend anyone who requires such treatment to try the Womens hospital and the Leic General. Thank you to all the staff, they were absolutely fantastic.
