About: East Surrey Hospital / Accident and emergency NHS Direct NHS Trust

(as the patient),

I was referred by NHS direct as I was having breathing problems and chest pain. I was seen very quickly upon arrival by the triage nurse and admitted into AMU. The staff were very dedicated, caring and professional and treated me with respect at all times. I cannot imagine not access to this wonderful service that is free at the point of delivery and is based on patient need not money and targets. We must preserve this at any and all costs, our health is the single most important and valuable thing we have.
