Administration re-organisation

Due to an incident, my nose was broken. After 5 days waiting to see the Dr who will re-break my nose, I have signed my agreement to the operation which will cover the Dr's responsability in taking this action. I don't need a copy of this as I trust the/any Dr, but I asked for a certificate as requested by my company. I've been told that they will give it to me. I've informed my company that I will be back at work on monday as the Dr succesfully broken my nose and fixed it. I've been told to bring a paper showing that I'm fit to work. back to the hospital, I have been told to contact my GP. At GP reception (Health center), I've been told to come back on Monday. I can undersstand that the Dr is too busy to give me such paper, but I am wondering what Nerses and receptionists are doing? So, I lost another half working day, to go to GP, I will loose another working day to see ''another Dr'' who did not break my nose'', consequently does not know nothing about it, and he/she will then tell the reception, ''yes, give him this bloody paper'' (and still thinking that I'm wasting their time for a piece of paper!). well, I think I would quickly got this certificate, if I say ''the Dr has broken my nose and I am very sick now''. I would quickly be visited by another Dr and he would say ''you are not sick, you are ok'' then I would say '' of course I am not sick, so give me this bloody paper showing that I am fit to work''. It seems funny... as the NHS administration is. Just to let you know that I am not agaist any particular staff (they are all lovely people), but against the administration / system. It's shame that the NHS of a great country as UK is, laid back behaind the poorest European countries.

It would appear that your concerns mainly relate to your GP practice, rather than the Great Western Hospital. What should happen after an operation like this is that the hospital will provide you with a short term note to say you’re not fit to work. This will typically cover a week or two. When this note expires, or when you’re well enough to go back to work, you will need to visit your GP to obtain a ‘fit’ note.

I am sorry if the process wasn’t explained properly to you by our team here at the Hospital. Unfortunately we don’t set the process followed by your GP practice and you may wish to raise your concerns directly with them.
