Anything else?
Very saddened to discover that I could not send my dying friend a boquet of flowers to brighten her day. The florist said they weren't allowed to deliver.
If I was dying of cancer I would desperately want my room to be absolutely full of flowers from top to bottom for the scent and the beauty.
I didn't know if my friend could eat chocolates or biscuits and I didn't want to send a balloon or a teddy bear which didn't seem to fit the situation. I could understand if flowers were spreading germs but she was dying! I'd rather die a bit sooner in beautiful surroundings than be stuck in a lifeless box. You don't need vases these days as they can come in their own water and OK they may get in the way a little but wouldn't you feel better surrounded by colour?
