"Gallbladder Removal"

About: Wharfedale Hospital

Anything else?

I was very nervous about having my gallbladder removed after an emergency admission to St. James Hospital in October 2012. and a bad experiience. I was left in great pain for a considerable time until a Doctor was free to sort out my medication. There seemed to be a great shortage of Doctors and Nurses. I was sent home and referred to a Consultant at a later date. I opted to go to Wharfedale Hospital for my operation when I was told my gallbladder had to be removed due to gallstones

Insist on Wharfedale if you can.

What a difference in the care at Wharfedale, Ward 1 The staff were wonderful, thankyou to the Nurses and Doctors who looked after me and eased my concerns about pain relief and said they would make sure my pain relief was managed.. I can highly recommend Wharfedale hospital if you have to have your gallbladder removed, Don't be worried you will be ok. Although this is a mixed ward there are some individual rooms (which I was lucky enough to be put in) but males and females seem to be put into different bays in the ward. At all times I felt safe and looked after. Wharfedale Hospital nurses and cares like it should be!!!!

Thanyou, had my operation 25th Feb and feeling much better.
