"could not get a cardiac referral to PRH "

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

Only appointment offered was B/North Hospital which has very limited parking, is 25miles away and I don’t know how whether I should be parking and walking to the hospital at my age and with a heart condition.

TRAQS told me if I want an appointment at the PR Hospital to ring another number. I did this and the person I spoke to said she didn’t know why I had been asked to do this and they couldn’t give me an appointment without knowing the urgency but it would be within government guidelines of 18 weeks.

Appointment letter arrived in mid January with unwanted B/North Hospital appointment. I phoned back and was told PR hospital would ring me by the end of January, but if they didn’t to back to GP.

I am disgusted with how long I am having to wait for an appointment.

Thank you for taking the time to give TRAQS some feedback following your recent referral.

I am sorry that TRAQS were unable to offer an appointment at PRH but we are only able to offer the appointments that the hospital releases to us and due to a capacity issue there have been no cardiology appointments to book into at PRH for some weeks.

I am disappointed to read your comments and would be happy to discuss your concerns with you but will need more information to look into your referral further.
