My visit was only slightly tarnished by the high car parking charges.

Ensuring our patients receive excellent care whilst being treated with dignity and respect always is a top priority for us, so it is encouraging that this has been your experience during your recent visit. We will also ensure that your kind and thoughtful feedback is passed onto those concerned in our radiography department. It will mean a lot to them.

You also mention your frustration over car parking charges. Whilst we naturally understand this, we’d want to share that these charges are essential to ensure we can continue to maintain our car parks to a high standard. We’d also want to reassure you that these amounts are in line with other NHS trusts in the region and that any excess monies are used towards patient care.

Just to update you on the outcome of this. The Trust has made an important change and reached an agreement which will result in the termination of the management contract with Parking Eye on all Northumbria premises.
