"Walk in centre being blocked from providing a good..."

Working at St George's for the last 10 years I have always found the walk in centre to be a great service, particularly when unable to get an appointment at my own GP surgery. The staff in the walk in centre have always provided brilliant care and service and you could usually be seen within about 20 minutes even though the centre was always very busy.
Unfortunately this is no longer the case now the centre has been moved into A&E. The service now takes hours to get through as you are put into the same queing system as those attending A&E although you still eventually end up being seen by the walk in staff. The last time I attended I waited hours and the nurse who first assessed me in a tiny cubicle at the entrance to A&E without the curtain pulled across seemed very short with me and spoke very loudly about the reason I was there although there was a queue of people beside us - not much in the way of privacy. When I was eventually seen by a nurse I was told I was their first patient of the day, and they seemed quite frustrated about this blockage in the system.
It seems a shame that such a good service was effectively made redundant, as all the people I know that used this service no longer do so and I no longer reccommend it to others.
The walk in centre should be re-located to its original location and allow the staff to get back to doing what they do best - caring for the community. A&E and the walk in centre are different services so can we please get back to treating them as such.
