"Appointment"

In early March, I took my elderly mother who is in her mid 70s to her routine appointment at the Eye Clinic in Hinchingbrooke Hospital. Since the management has been handed to another company, all manner of changes have been imposed on patients apparently to help reduce staff numbers. Yesterday, we went to the hospital and we found a) we had to revert back to the previous efficient booking in system and b) Mother's appointment had been changed to next Tuesday by the appointments team without informing her. Luckily another patient had cancelled and the excellent staff fitted mother in. It is a pity that the management can't leave things alone when they work efficiently.
