"Conflicting treatment advice"

My 19 year old daughter has recently been diagnosed with Gall Stones, this treatment took 2 years to diagnose with the first surgical dr I saw in A&E saying it was all in her head! I unfortunately did not take this Drs name, and actually must have put my daughter through more distress as I took this to heart and did not take her to hospital again for quite a while. However when this showed no signs of improving, I think she was getting attacks every couple of months or so, we went to the Drs who treated her for reflux. We still ended up in A&E frquently with the need for morphine.

About 6 months ago a consultant in the A&E department was unhappy with the diagnosis of reflux and sent us for some scans and the found a lot of gall stones. We waited for appointments which never materialised and then we had the first admission, where she stayed for about 4 days, we were given minimal advice of dietary requirments just no fat and said the surgical appointment will be in the post. She was given an appointment in January which was then cancelled 2 days before the appointment and moved a month later, now please don't forget we were still frequent visitors to A&E for pain management.

At the consultant appointment my daughter was placed on the list for surgery and again was told to eat no fat, the surgery would be in 6-8 weeks. I specifically asked about operating when we was in pain as we were told that they would not do this, and my concern is that she is in pain every single week, and at least every fortnight she needs morphine to handle this. I was told as long as there is no infection he will operate, even if she is still in pain.

Now this week my daughter has been admitted again, I have had 3 different drs tell me different results of her blood, 1 saying slightly high markers for infection, another saying they were normal, the same dr telling me that there was a very high indication of infection with one test and a low indication of another (this was after me telling him that I had already been told that her bloods were not normal) and on her discharge notes it states her bloods were unremarkable! They have informed us agin that they will not operate until she is 2 or 3 weeks pain free.... this never happens and in fact if it did there is no guarentee that she will stay pain free until the op.

We are so confused and regulary in tears about this, every where we turn there is different advice and my daughter has lost so much weight through this and is frightened of eating. I do not know where to turn now.
