Anything else?
I was referred to the consultant from St Georges in Tooting, for a consultation and ultimately a TEMS operation. I first visited LGH on Fri 23rd November for all pre-op procedures and to meet the consultant, on a day that started at 10am and finished with the last appt for a 2nd MRI at 4.30pm. This day was astonishingly well organised and flowed like clockwork.
Every single person my partner and I encountered was kind, helpful, patient and responded with great cheerfulness and good humour. This is so important for the patient who is likely to be feeling very worried and stressed by a situation which feels quite out of their control.
In addition, the hospital was very quiet and calm, beautifully clean and freshly painted – a credit to the NHS.
The op itself took place on Mon 10th Dec and again all went so smoothly. I am grateful and indebted to the consultant and his team. The consultant himself was gracious, kind and very informative and I was quite happy to place my life in his hands.
