We are writing to commend the Phlebotomy Dept of torbay Hospital for the skill, tenacity and patience shown by a member of the team in finally enabling our daughter, who has a severe learning disability, to overcome her needle phobia and supply blood samples on Friday 18th January this year. This ended several months of abortive attempts in various settings, which were increasingly causing our daughter distress and us concern.

This was a particularly challenging appointment which took longer than expected (the waiting room was packed when we came out!), but the phlebotomist remained calm and her approach and manner helped overcome our daughter's fear.

So big thanks from us and our daughter, and well done!
