"No concern for convenience at QMC Eye Clinic"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

A few days before my appointment at the Queen's Medical Centre's Eye Clinic, I was contacted to ask if I could attend the day before the scheduled date. As I had other commitments on that date already, I could not do this. They told me that they needed some time to treat a small child and I pointed out that moving me would save them about 10 mins and, if someone else who needed longer could be moved, then it would be better for them to do that. I also pointed out that I was bringing my daughter to the QMC for treatment for a heart condition. I received another call (the following day) when we went through it all over again.

It seems that consultants have concern for the medical needs of patients, but none for their convenience.
