"problems contacting ophthalmology clinic, Euston House"

About: Euston House

(as the patient),

I had a routine eye test at specsavers, New Street, Wellington, the Wrekin in mid December. I was referred to ophthalmologist at Euston House, Telford for a day in early January at 9.40. The time was inconvenient as I had previously arranged an appointment with the local history group of which I am the president of at 10am. I tried to contact the clinic by phone at the end of December, phoning frequently but unsuccessfully. Eventually 4 days later I made contact.

NOTE - there should be a way to leave a message by phone or email address.

I understand there was a staff illness. When eventually I made contact I was able to change to 3. 20pm which was fine. I was phoned and written to the next day, most efficiently.

At 3. 00 - I was early - I had a preliminary test, most efficiently. 3. 20 came and went. At about 3. 30. I was called my Mr Ashan who was charming and efficient. He carefully explained the situation, which was exactly what I had thought and offered to fix the cateract I have, confirming my other eye works well. I had an appointment with my GP whose advice helped me decide whether to have the operation.
