Ethnic origin white british I don't know if it is my name or being a retired nurse/ tax payer affects my treatment. Previously I have made complaints regarding waiting lists, repeated cancelled appointments and equipment. Fall on deaf ears!

For a procedure in Dec 2011 equipment wasn't available. This would have been cancelled had I not agreed to alternative equipment being used. Having fasted and waiting all day i accepted the alternative because of chronic pain and horrendous discomfort This is another issue. I have been waiting for treatment since January 2012. It now seems that I'm not on a waiting list !

Throughout the past 3 years I have managed to jump some hurdles through persistance. Repeatidly appointments to see an Orthpaedic trauma consultant were cancelled it became so rediculous. Chronic pain! Eventually it was brought to my attention the Consultant had left the RLH. Next step securing an appointment with a locum Orhopaedic Consultant. It was obvious this Doctor was referring patients to pain management. He recommended Radiofrequeny ablation. Approximately 3-4 months later I received an appointment to see a pain Consultant he would only offer facet joint injections. This I accepted the pain treatment was effective for 3 weks!

A 7 month follow up appointment was received. This same Doctor asked me to cancell the Pain clinic appointment for Barts!

2 weeks before this appointmen, once again cancelled and I was sent another for May 2013. A wait of 14 months.

Following another complaint I was seen at Barts pain clinic on the 8th October 2012. On the 19th February 2013 I went to the RLH for radiofrequency ablation. Arriving at 011 00 hours it wasn't until 16.30 hours that i was informed there was no equipment and no Radiographer for this procedure it was cancelled. The nurse said it would be rescheduled for 19th March 2013. Watch this space. Its a disgrace.
