I was admitted back in March via A & E with a referal from my GP and in severe pain. I was diagnosed with a gall bladder problem. The staff were very attentive and caring (the previous day I had attended another hospital in Woolwich were the staff were completely the opporsite and discharged with constitaption!) My care during the five day stay was second to none, my consultant explained the need to try and stablise me and send me home so that I might come back in 4/6 weeks for an elective gall bladder removal via keyhole surgery. I went home but was admitted within a few days in acute pain and the decision was taken for me to have major surgery which was just as well as my gall bladder was in a very bad state. Throughout the two stays in hospital I was treated by caring and dedicated staff and thank them wholeheartedly for all their kind attention.

In December I again had the need to return to hospital due to a rogue gallstone and after its removal it was found I had a problem with thickening of the colan... after a not so nice procedure yesterday I now have the good news that all is ok in that region... Yesterday by nerves were in shreds but the wonderful team working with the doctor were very patient with a very distressed older lady so again thank you for taking the time to talk everything through with me and thank you to their team. Dont anybody knock this hospital!
