"World Class Shoulder Service"

About: The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (Stanmore)

Anything else?

I have been a patient at RNOH Stanmore since 2003 after 2 failed shoulder reconstruction surgeries at my local hospital resulted in the complete loss of use of 1 of my arms.

The Shoulder Service is a dedicated team of surgeons, physiotherapists & occupational therapists that deal with complex shoulder injuries.

I can safely say that if it were not for expertise & dedication of the Consultant & his team I would have lost at least 1 if not both my arms by now due to very aggressive degenerative joint disease.

The only issue I have had is when my physiotherapist required me to stay in hospital longer for post operative treatment - I didn't care but the "bed manager" kept calling the ward instructing the nurses to ask me when I was leaving!
