I was very impressed by the warm atmosphere in the hospital. The friendliness of all staff. What most impressed me was every ten minutes a carer or a volunteer came into the room to check on the patients. I felt Evelyn was being cared for the old fashioned way. It is not always obvious in hospitals that patients are being cared for. Evelyn was respected and treated with the utmost care and compassion by the staff.

I only hope cottage hospitals survive all the government cutbacks.

It was truly a pleasure to visit Evelyn in such warm and compassionate surroundings.
