"Eating in cafe."

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

Anything else?

My daughter has crohns disease and has a gulten intolerance. , after having a proceedure that she had to starve herself from the night before, we entered the cafe and there was nothing that was gluten free. for her to eat. this is not a 'one off' there is always nothing there for her.

this is a hospital, so why do they not cater for the dietry needs of patients and visitors.

Dear Anonymous,

Thank you for sharing your experience of the Café at Queen’s Hospital.

I have passed this onto the Catering Manager and asked them to review the meal options that are available for our patients’ to ensure that special dietary requirements are taken into consideration.

Should you wish to discuss this matter further please contact a member of the Patient Advice and Liaison Services (PALS) on 01708 435454 or email PALS@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk

Yours sincerely,

Judith Douglas

Deputy Director of Nursing
