Anything else?
I was in north tees hospital for minor surgery. However this was quite invasive and I was nervous but I feel it is only appropriate to praise the staff on ward for fantastic patient care, where I was treated with respect and dignity. All the staff were amazing from the HCA's who clearly were working hard along side the nurses to the nurses them selves who were very organised. My surgeon came to see me as well as the anesthetist who were very professional and answered my querys as well as put me at ease. Even in theatre the staff nurse held my Hand and the student ODP was very supportive. Once out of surgery I was taken care of by a lovely nurse who was very empathetic whist doing my observations and let me rest. The HCA even placed a blanket over me whilst I was sleeping which was very thoughtful. My discharge was quickly arranged and medications explained, all the above care made my visit a pain free and dignifying stay and it is about time nurses got the recognition they deserve. I am a student nurse myself and the standards of care I recieved on the 14th of feb are the high standards I uphold myself as a professional.
