Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments about the treatment you received at our hospital in March last year. We are sorry that your experiences did not meet the high standards we aim for, for all our patients. It is difficult for us to give you a full and detailed response as your comments do not give us enough information to investigate further. We encourage patients to raise any concerns they have while they are in hospital. Each area has a Matron, whose role is to listen to patients concerns and take any necessary action. In addition our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) are available to help patients and their family with any issues that they feel have not been resolved. To help us gain more timely feedback from patients we have started to ask all inpatients and those treated in A&E, before they leave hospital, whether they would recommend our services to their friends and family and also to give us feedback on their experiences. This information will be extremely useful for us and help to improve things for our patients. We will also be making this information publicly available within the hospital and on our website so that people can see for themselves what our patients think of us.
