"My op was cancelled but staff apologetic"

About: New Victoria Hospital / Day surgery

(as the patient),

My first visit at the beginning of December was a disaster, when the surgeon discovered they did not have all the kit to carry out my operation. The surgeon was very apologetic but had to cancel my procedure for safety reasons.

However on my return 2 weeks later I was treated promptly and received more apologies from the surgeon and nurses.

The surgeon did a great job with my hernia and my wounds were healing very well. When I was taken to ward 3 the nurses could not have been nicer and took great care of me, particularly senior staff nurse Janice A. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved.
