"Humiliating and distressing!"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

Anything else?

I had a procedure similar to a colonoscopy - varium somthing in this hospital a few years back. They prepared me for it by getting me to wear a hospital robe (witht the opening at the back) with no other clothes, they also inserted a tube up my rectum and left me there with my bum and vagina facing the male nurse for at least 1.5 hours. I was mortified and to the point of tears. When I finally saw a nurse in the room where I was waiting I mentioned that I was quite sore from having the tube inside me and asked if I could take it out for a bit. She said that it wasn't possible. Finally another half an hour wait and the Dr came into the room and told me off for asking to have the tube removed. To add to my upset. The Dr made sure he commented in the letter to my GP that I was uncooperative!! I felt physycally and mentally abused, I still get chocked up every time I remember this. It is a shame I don't remember their names to name them in here!
