I would just like to express my sincere thanks to your maternity department, ante-natal clinic and surgery staff for caring for me during my pregnancy and birth of my little boy. He was born 19th sept 2012 by elective c-section and is now a very healthy happy 4 month old!!
After many appointments with ANC and PAU and numerous scans I can honestly say that all staff were very friendly and professional at every step of the way. I felt at ease with everything and any worries or questions I had were explained to me confidently and sympathetically.
When the day came to have my baby delivered, although we were never made any promises, the team of midwives and support staff did everything they could to reassure us and made me feel cared for, listened to and protected. The anesthetist, consultant, registrar and other nurses in surgery were fantastic and made what could have been quite a traumatic experience, one of the best in my life! Really if they weren't so confident, friendly and supportive, I would have felt so lost. We even shared a joke or two as they were making the cut!
It's a well known fact that you lose any dignity when giving birth but these people were the ultimate professionals and I never felt uncomfortable in that way at all!
Please remind them every day what a fabulous job they are doing and pass on my personal thanks. Very well done!!
"Outstanding maternity department!"
