I went to my GP and she suspected gall stones. I got an appointment within a month for an ultrasound scan which confirmed this.
I was given an appointment within two months to see the consultant who talked me through the operation. He said it would be three months wait. I was called two months before to ask if I still wanted to be on the list. My husband took the call because I was in Norway on business.
On my return a few days later I telephoned the hospital to check where I was on the list and I got a cancellation. I had the operation six days later. The operation went well and I was asked if I wanted to stay overnight which I did.
The nurses could not have been better. They went out of their way to help me and listened to my request for stronger painkillers because I am on pain medication for M. E.
I was really delighted with my treatment.
"Pleased with my care for gall bladder operation"
