Anything else?
I had my son in the maternity unit in May 2012. I have to say I was very happy with my antenatal care and the care I received during my labour and delivery. The midwives and medical staff were excellent and I felt well looked after in spite of how busy it was. However, my experience deteriorated when I was transferred to the post natal unit. The staff were not very welcoming and the midwives who looked after me during the night shift gave conflicting advice. I was made to feel that I was causing a fuss and was not offered assistance with my basic needs. The day shift staff were much better and they provided the care and attention you would expect . The whole unit was extremely busy during my stay, and some of the staff were obviously able to cope better with this than others.
"Excellent care during Labour but postnatal care..."
