"Gynae Appt"

About: Croydon University Hospital

Anything else?

I came to see a Gynecologist ending of January for a referral done via my local GP. I must say the HCA and Gynae were very nice and very caring and explained things to the fullest. I was given a diagnosis and asked to take that form to my GP for some prescriptions. The trouble i am facing is that i believe i have been misdiagnosed as i bleeding excessively at the time of my appointment and the Gynae was struggling to locate what the actual cause to my monthly heavy flow was so i was given a likely cause and put on Metformin. But i have released that the situation it getting worse than before and i have tried to get in touch with this Gynae and all i am doing is leaving messages for the secretary who up till now has not bothered to return any of may calls. Now i have wait again for an appointment to go back to my G.P and be referred again hence more waiting time for me. Oh and the toilets in the department is beyond par, water leaking everywhere, tissues run out and toilets not flushing properly. On the Other hand I must commend your receptionist in the A&E, my sister was brought in with a broken arm one bust Saturday, the bone was broken as soon as i told the receptionist what it was my sister was immediately taken in to be seen by a doctor who instantly asked for an x-ray to be done hence getting the urgent treatment she needed. The bone has joined together now without the need for surgery. So thanks for saving my sisters arm. Thank you soo much.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments – first of all if you are still worried about your health, please contact your GP and we can arrange for a fast track appointment, or come to our A&E if you feel your condition needs urgent attention. As your post is anonymous, we are unable to follow up with you directly on your care issues so we have alerted our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) team to your message; if you wish to contact them directly, they can also facilitate for you to be seen again by our specialists as quickly as possible. You can contact them on 020 8401 3210 or email TalkToUs@croydonhealth.nhs.uk.

We are sorry for the problems that you have experienced - you should have had a response from the secretarial team and we have raised this with them to find out why.

We have also passed on your concerns regarding the toilets to our estates team; there is a regular cleaning programme in place for these facilities, but clearly it was not effective on the day that you visited us. We will look into why this may have happened and monitor the facilities closely.

Finally, thank you very much for your positive comments regarding our A&E staff, which we have passed on to them.
