My friend currently in Basildon hospital is very poorly, unfortunately she can now add bed sores to her ailments.
In my opinion, this is unforgivable as a simple risk assessment would have flagged that she would be a likely candidate to get a bed sore (nil by mouth, very weak, immobile). Therefore I believe she should have been given a special mattress to avoid the consistent pain and discomfort she is experiencing.
Attention Basildon Hospital - is it really so difficult to complete a tick box assessment?- or so easy to carry out what seems to be neglect? !
