"A&E admittance"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Gateshead)

Anything else?

My sister, who suffers from dementia, was admitted to A&E on Thursday, January 24th at 6.30pm, having fallen down some stairs at a residential care home. From the moment she was transferred from the ambulance she was treated in a very professional manner and I was kept informed of what tests they were performing. I could not fault the staff for the care they gave to my sister and me. Fortunately there were no broken bones and my sister was discharged, the staff making sure she was well wrapped up against the cold, wheeled her out to my car and helped to get her cormfortably seated. Well done to everyone concerned, your caring, patient attitude was greatly appreciated.

Thank you for taking the trouble to pass on such detailed, positive feedback about your sister’s treatment here at the QE. This is always a pleasure to receive.
