"A and E - minor injury"

About: Friarage Hospital Site

Anything else?

I attended A&E with an elbow injury on the evening of 28/1/13. I was concerned that my injury might be seen as trivial but the staff were without exception friendly, kind and supportive. I did not have to wait at all. I was carefully examined and assessed, taken to x ray, given what amounts to a minor operation, offered excellent advice and prophylactic antibiotics and discharged within 90 minutes. The Doctor was interesting and interested, kept me fully informed about what he was doing and why, and was proved completely right. This was modern medical treatment at its best.
