"Waiting at A&E"

About: Victoria Infirmary / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

I spent 4 hours on thursday to see somone about problems and pain when I breathe, just to be given pain killers and sent home.

The very next day I phoned NHS24 who said to go back to this hospital, as they were going to fax my details over and be seen straight away as its very painful when I breathe.

I am still here now writing this, as I go in to my third hour of waiting to be seen.

This is pathetic - I'm in pain when I breathe and there are people who are feeling a little sick going before me.

I am in full time employment and pay my NI and have been treated badly. I am raging to say the least.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to provide your feedback.

I am sorry that this posting was not acknowledged at the time, we had a break in our use of Patient Opinion, but we have now resumed doing so, and I thought it was still important to acknowledge your posting.

I hope that you did not have to wait too much longer for your treatment.

Paul
