My son was referred to Leeds General Infirmary for a dental appointment, after finding he had a very unusual condition that may need surgery. We got a prompt appointment, followed by a date for day surgery.
My son is 11 and has learning difficulties. He has had an awful lot of experience of hospitals - and some of it has been awful!
Our experience of Ward L49 at LGI was really great. We had an afternoon admission time, the staff that greeted us were very warm and friendly and throughout the day they were very helpful and good with him.
The surgical team were also great - with one of them coming out mid-way to explain to me some alterations with the plan, and speaking to me afterwards on the ward.
Many thanks to the nurses and other ward staff.
