I was admitted to the maternity assessment unit recently due to a problem during my 40th week of pregnancy. midwife whom assessed me was attentive, friendly and made me feel at ease in a worrying situation, despite the fact the unit was busy, the midwife made me feel well looked after and attended promptly to my needs. as my condition deteriorated I was admitted under high dependency to the central delivery suite, the 2 midwives whom looked after me were brilliant, they listened to my concerns and made me feel like their number one priority, consultant was fab, incredibly knowledgeable and had fantastic people skills, I ended up having an emergency caesarian section. all the staff from the consultant, anaethetist, theatre nurses, midwives and hca's on the unit were friendly and very attentive, I feel I owe the safe delivery of my daughter to all the staff involved in my care that day, the unit is a service for the NHS to be proud of.
"outstanding maternity service"
