Anything else?
1. Last week I had made my first visit to SRFT with my 87 year old father to out patients. The night before we looked on the web site to see where to go. Thinking we had identified the correct building we travelled to the East Park only to find it some distance from the entrance and no wheel chair provision. So I had to drop him off in the cold on an outside bench while i went and parked the car and returned.
On entering the hospital we were met with confusing signs and sent by staff in place to help direct members of the public to 3 different levels before finally being directed to main out patients still no sign of a wheelchair. On arrival at main out patients some 20 minutes after entering the building again there was no wheel chair provision.
If you are going to have a car park for main out patients some 100m plus and across the road from the building then please provide a means by which infirm or elderly patients can safely make it to the department.
2. SRFT provided free parking for cancer patients receiving treatment which has to be commended. However you do not provide any information as to how to obtain the free parking or inform staff on the main desk of the main building of how to obtain this parking concession. I am still trying to find this out.
