My husband became unwell on the evening of Thursday 20th December and I telephoned the emergency services for help. From that time, until his discharge from A & E some eight hours later, the treatment he received was excellent.

All the medical staff; 999 telephone operator, paramedics, nurse, phlebotomist, porter and doctor exuded calm, efficient professionalism as they went about their work. This was very reassuring to both of us. All the staff we encountered were polite and respectful, which we much appreciated. My husband was told why the procedures and tests were being carried out and given a realistic time scale for the results to be returned.
