"Lack of nurse training"

About: University Hospital Of North Tees

Anything else?

My husband has a trachie fitted - which was done at another hospital.

He gets infections in his lungs at regular intervals, and gets taken in to North Tees Hospital.

I have to show the nurses how to change and clean the trachie, as they don't have a clue how to do it. And even after being shown, they still neglect to clean it out, so that is encouraging more infections.

Last time he was in the hospital, he started bleeding, and lost a lot of blood.

It was three hours before his bedding was changed. And when two of us visited the following day, there was still dried blood on the bed rails, and the floor.
